About the Author
Tom OBrien lives in the west of Ireland. Raised in rural Roscommon, he grew up among the bogs, hills and small farming communities that continue to inspire his writing. The Irish landscape is more than a backdrop to his work: it is a place where history lingers, memories endure and long-buried secrets have a way of resurfacing.His writing explores family, identity and belonging, and the question of whether character is shaped more by inherited traits or by the people who nurture and influence us. The Curlew’s Cry is his debut novel.
